Out of the Stress Trap! Small Tips, Big Impact!
Is your mind full again? The essay for German, the math exam, and then also the biology presentation. At some point, it all becomes too much. When your thoughts are consumed only by school, you feel like you have no time for friends, hobbies, or yourself, and despite your efforts, you can’t keep up with the demands of school life, it’s time for a change.

Less is More
If you have too many commitments over time, it will eventually take a toll. You need to cut back. Consider which tasks you can delegate or cancel. Free time for yourself is crucial! To-do lists are also helpful. They allow you to plan what you want to do or study, and by checking off tasks, you can see your (learning) progress.
Talk to Friends and Family
You may feel like you're alone with your problems, but you're not, I promise! Everyone has their own struggles, and some of your friends might feel exactly like you do. Ask around, and you might get some valuable advice. Or talk to your parents. It’s not easy to admit to yourself and others that you’re overwhelmed. Unfortunately, this is quite common. Trust teachers and youth social workers at youth centers can also be good contacts.
Give Yourself a Break from Information
Internet, Snapchat, TikTok, and 20 group chats at once. Go offline and see how your focus shifts to completely new things. Turn off your phone, or at least put it in airplane mode. Even if it's just for an hour. Too much sensory overload makes it hard to relax.
Creativity & Nature
Creative activities like painting, drawing, playing music, writing, or photography can help you get into a relaxing flow. Here you can mentally escape from everyday life. Your environment can also be beneficial. Go for a bike ride, a walk in the woods, hiking, or just sit on a park bench and enjoy nature. Exploring new places will relax your nerves.
