From 1 February 2021: Direct lead generation with Scoolio

To make students aware of a company’s apprenticeship and study opportunities, campaigns in the Scoolio student app have so far been run using ad-based placements. The different formats allow for visibility across various app features, creating multiple touchpoints with the target group.

With the expansion of the so-called Futurespace in the app, students now have the opportunity to explore their future through various interactive features in a playful manner. The personality test helps them understand which characteristics and preferences are relevant to them, making it easier to navigate the vast range of career paths. Through an intelligent connection with the Job Game, they can explore more than 550 different job profiles. They can browse all career cards for inspiration or filter them based on specific traits and professions. If the personality test has been completed beforehand, users will immediately see if a job card is a particularly good match for their personality.

Gamification Approach to Career Orientation

Thanks to the swipe-based nature of the game, it has been very well received by users, making career exploration simple and engaging. When interested in a job, students can add it to their favorites list with a swipe. With just one click, they can then request more specific apprenticeship opportunities in their preferred region.

Starting in February, companies will be able to access a personalized business account to receive direct apprenticeship inquiries from students as leads. Connecting with potential apprentices has never been easier.

Companies can define three key matching criteria with their target group in advance:

  • Geolocation: This can be a specific target area with a defined radius or a nationwide reach.
  • Category: To avoid industry stereotypes, Scoolio has redefined categories with user-friendly terms that companies can individually select.
  • Job Profile: Each job card represents a specific apprenticeship position, which can be selected accordingly.

Once a student submits an information request, it is processed in the cloud and passes through an integrated algorithm. This algorithm matches the request with the predefined company criteria, resulting in an automated match. The information is then forwarded to companies via an automated postal notification.

It expands the performance measurement capabilities of recruiting campaigns in the app. While success was previously measured by the number of students reached in a specific target area through views, clicks, and click-through rates, lead generation now enables a much more precise metric: a measurable number of interested candidates.
