Article in NEW EDUCATION: The Job Game in the scoolio Futurespace

Teenagers are entering their final (graduation) school year, and alongside exam stress, final grades, and graduation exams, one question stands out: "What comes after graduation? – Child, what do you want to do with your future?"

The NEW EDUCATION supplement of WELT, in collaboration with scoolio, has introduced how career orientation can look in the future:
With the Job Game in Futurespace, students can playfully discover more than 550 career and study opportunities.
The swipe game presents various career paths, ranging from vocational training in skilled trades to creative art studies and public service – something for every talent.

Career Orientation During Homeschooling

The past 1.5 years have not only turned learning, practicing, and teaching on its head, but also required the immediate use of new solutions and accelerated digital transformation.
Furthermore, personal interactions among students, as well as between students and teachers, were only possible in digital form – two groups that, alongside family, play a crucial role in career orientation.
Conversations about the first job interview on the schoolyard and attending career fairs with school or parents are key elements that shape graduates’ future aspirations and provide orientation.

To prevent uncertainty and give students a push in the right direction, we encourage them to reflect on their own strengths. After completing a personality test, which is also part of Futurespace, matching career opportunities are highlighted in the Job Game, making career orientation easier.

Each job card contains key facts and essential information about a profession. If interested, a simple swipe is enough to save the card as a favorite and later discuss it with friends and family.
At the same time, students can directly connect with companies via the job cards, significantly accelerating personal and individual interactions.
