Community Guidelines: scoolio App

At scoolio, we aim to provide students with the opportunity to organize their school life optimally, learn about career and study orientation, connect with the largest student community in Germany, and have fun together. We have created these Community Guidelines to support our vision and to create a space where every single scoolio user can feel safe.

These guidelines apply to all content on scoolio and to all scoolio users equally. Advertisers and media partners agree to additional guidelines, such as ensuring their content is fact-checked and truthful. In certain cases, we will not take action against content if it is newsworthy and relates to political, societal, or other general matters of our community, as long as the content is factual.

We have done our best to establish specific rules for what content we allow on scoolio. However, it's difficult to foresee every situation that might arise. The key is the moral stance these rules embody: we want scoolio to be a safe and positive experience for all. We reserve the right to decide at our discretion which content violates this moral stance and is not allowed on the platform.

• Be kind and respectful to other users!
• Do not spread racism!
• Do not spread sexual content!
• Do not spam in chats and groups!
• Do not troll!
• Keep all interactions on scoolio positive. We are a friendly, diverse & fun community.

Providing False Identity, Fraudulent Practices, and Misinformation

• Provide your correct age!
• Students under 16 need to have the consent of their legal guardians (parents) to create a profile and use the scoolio app.
• It is not allowed to impersonate someone you are not (including your friends, celebrities, brands, or other organizations) or attempt to deceive others about your identity.
• We prohibit spam and other fraudulent practices, including manipulating content for misleading purposes.
• We prohibit the spread of misinformation, such as denying the existence of tragic events, baseless medical claims, or undermining the integrity of civil processes.

Harassment and Bullying

• We prohibit bullying or harassment of any kind.
• Do not send messages with the intention of hurting someone.
• Sharing private information and images of another person without their knowledge and consent is not allowed.
• If someone in your published chat or profile picture asks you to remove that image, do so!

Sexually Explicit Content

• We prohibit accounts that publish or distribute pornographic content.
• We report the sexual exploitation of minors to the relevant authorities. Never post, store, or send content with nude images or sexually explicit content of individuals, including yourself. Never encourage minors to send sexually explicit images or messages.

Threats, Violence, and Harmful Acts

• Promoting violent acts or dangerous behavior is prohibited: Never threaten to cause harm to a person, a group of people, or the property of others.
• Images and messages depicting inappropriate or graphic violence are not allowed.
• We do not permit the positive portrayal of self-harm, including self-injury or eating disorders.

Illegal Content

• Do not use scoolio for illegal activities.
• We prohibit the promotion and use of certain regulated goods, as well as the depiction or promotion of criminal activities.

Terrorism, Hate-Driven Groups, and Hate Speech

• Terrorist organizations and hate-driven groups are not allowed to use our platform, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for content that advocates or promotes violent extremism or terrorism.
• Hate speech or content that degrades, defames, or promotes discrimination or violence against others based on their race, skin color, caste, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, immigration status, socioeconomic status, age, or weight is prohibited.

Remember, you can always report a case to our support team via the reporting function in the app. We review every report to check for violations of these guidelines and take necessary actions.

If you violate these Community Guidelines, we reserve the right to remove the offending content without consultation, delete your account, limit the visibility of your account, and/or inform the police. If your account is deleted due to violations of our guidelines, you are no longer allowed to use scoolio. Please take our guidelines seriously and align your actions with the values contained within them.

Terrorism, Hate-Driven Groups, and Hate Speech

Finally, a note! Do not publish personal information like address or phone number. Social media is never the right place for this.
